In this section, the basics of Club Penguin Armies will be explained to ensure a maximum level of fun and enjoyment for you and for everyone! Let's get started with the basics: Club Penguin Armies revolve around the concept that a group of people gather, organise and hold events. Armies are tight-knit communities and you may only be in one army at a time, if there are no exceptions given. The Army is a community - a place for you and others to come together, chat, have fun and enjoy many events, games and much more. The Army is organised and acts like a state with its own heirarchy, principles, rules and order. For more about this topic, read the constitution posted on the website, or on the Discord Server. Hence, you will be assigned a role when you will join the WH. This is the lowest rank. You may increase in ranks by participating in events and otherwise participating in making the Army a better place and always improving. You may raise to the second rank by simply actively participating in an event. This will show us that you are the right one for the Army and that you deserve it. Eventually, when you have shown a lot of engagement, enthusiasm and willpower and you raise the ranks further and further, you may even be promoted to a leader in training. This will put you in an exclusive spot where you can prove yourself and others that you have what it takes to one day become a leader. This also means that you will even be allowed to host/lead events.
The way events work is by that they are firstly announced in the #events channel on Discord. From there, you will see the details of the event. What type of event it is, when it is, on what server it is and all kinds of necessary additional information. There are many types of events in Club Penguin. They may range from traditional training events, over recruitment events up to simply fun and entertaining game events. Events may also be hosted outside of Club Penguin.
However, the most important type of event there are are the trainings and eventually battles. The trainings show strength and discipline and often have the ability to impress others. And they prepare one for battles. Battles are fights between two or more different Armies. The way a battle commences is by both Armies to agree on a time and location of the battle to take place with an independent referee to evaluate the battle. In the first room, the Armies may use formations and tactics to decide the room for themselves. What are formations and tactics? Well, formations are the way the army is arranged in the room. For example, an army might dance in the shape of a cross, or even scatter all across the room. The only limit here, is creativity and effectiveness. And tactics are the text/emoji/action commands that the Army executes. All this is organzied in the #orders channel on the Discord Server. One (sometimes also multiple) leaders may execute orders in this channel and the rest of the Army is expected to follow them. For example, the leader of one event might order the army to sit in the shape of an 'L', attach an image how this would look like, and then, after the Army has taken the formation, they may order the army to copy and paste a certain text, or display a certain emoji. This all works on the basis of a countdown; do not execute the order before the countdown has reached one. That all ensures that the formations and tactics happen at the same time, which highly influences the judgement of the performance of an event. This is why you should always have your eyes on this channel during events, no matter if training or battle.
This all continues for three rooms in total. In a battle, whoever wins two of the three rooms wins the entire battle. The trainings are there to prepare the Army for battle, having a fun time and possibily making new acquaintances.
